FAQ
Do you just calculate a carbon footprint, or something more?
We work with the underlying data as well as the calculation: boundaries, activity data, emission factors, methodology and documentation. The result is a GHG inventory that can be followed, updated and reviewed, not a single figure.
We haven’t done any GHG reporting before. Where would we start?
Usually with defining the reporting boundary and a first Scope 1 and Scope 2 inventory, then screening Scope 3 to understand where the material emissions sit. Get in touch and we can work out the right starting point for your organisation.
Is this the same as getting our emissions independently assured?
No. We help prepare and strengthen your GHG information, documentation and controls so it’s ready for internal review or external assurance. We don’t provide independent assurance ourselves.
Do you only work with businesses that already have NGER obligations?
No. We support both organisations with mandatory NGER reporting requirements and those doing voluntary GHG reporting, for customer requests, tenders or their own reporting needs.
What frameworks do you work to?
Primarily the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, the GHG Protocol Scope 2 Guidance and Scope 3 Standard, the Australian National Greenhouse Accounts, the NGER framework, and the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards including AASB S2.
